| As you can see in our graph, our Elite Hybrid earpads boost the low frequencies a bit, with a bass roll-off beginning at 30 Hz. This does a good job of removing the “mud” from the driver, which allows for a clearer response in the low frequencies. Next, you’ll notice a dip in the midrange at roughly 500 Hz to 1 kHz. This dip can essentially account for ear gain, creating a less sensitive sound than what our ears may be used to. At 3 kHz, there is roughly a 4 dB dip. This can make some of the midrange instruments in your music feel a little less apparent. As for the higher frequencies, our Elite Hybrid earpads closely match the sound of this particular range, however, there’s a slight boost leading into the higher frequencies. This increase can allow for a sharper and clearer treble in instruments like the cymbals. |
