Great replacements, the bass definitely has been boosted though (something I expected).

These earpads are effective, comfortable, and easy to install.

Bought these as a replacement for the AKG K702's and the stock pads were rounded with a material that really soaked up sweat and got kinda mangey quickly and lost its comfort in the process. The Dekoni velour pads instead of a rounded shape have a more square edge with a thicker cushion and provide more comfort than stock pads. The material also breathes a lot better than stock and doesn't get quite as warm and most importantly to me, does not greatly change the tuning of the K702's, which I really love the tuning of. There's maybe a little more low end sound around the sub-bass region, but largely it's the same tuning and sounds great. If you like the sound of the K702 stock, these are the pads to replace them with. Straight upgrade.

I wish I'd purchased these long ago. In the process of updating / rehabilitating my decade-old 702s I purchased the Elite Hybrid pads and the Attenuation kit. I used the original foam donut from the AKGs to cut the attenuation padding, laid them between the new pads and the 702s and a firm but easy twist was all it took. The pads feel amazing and the sound is ever so much more focused now. I aded a coily cable from AKG and the phones are ready for another 10 years. I am now considering replacing the pads on my BD 1990 - simply for the feel and comfort of the Dekoni stuff.
