Well, we are proud to announce the release of our new earpads for the AKG K371, as well as the AKG K361 and both their respective Bluetooth models (K371-BT/K361-BT). The AKG K371 excels in ergonomics with its swivel design feature, allowing users to achieve the perfect angle of the ear cups when placing them over the head. We wanted to build upon the design by offering an improvement in the quality of comfort, as well as create new opportunities for tweaks in the sound signature that fit the user. If you are looking to enhance the comfort of your K371 or K361 headphones, you now have a few options to choose from within our newly released, high-density memory foam Dekoni earpads, in both our Elite and Choice Series styles of earpads. We have Elite Sheepskin, Elite Velour, Choice Leather, and Choice Suede earpads now shipping.
Looking for a better seal and increased isolation? Our Elite Sheepskin earpads offer a rugged and soft material with a tighter seal, emphasizing the low-frequency content. Alternatively, in our measurement graph, comparing our Sheepskin earpads to the stock pads, you will notice a modest increase in the higher frequencies. With this increase, you may find yourself with a much more balanced response between the mids and highs.

Up next we have our velvety, Elite Velour earpads. Our velour earpads seal much better than most other non-velour earpads as we use a higher thread count in the design while still remaining breathable. In the graph, you can see this with an increase in the low-frequency content. The velour earpads also deaden some of the low mids, so you will experience less weight in vocals and bass lines.

Moving on to our vegan alternative Choice Series earpads, we have our smooth and sleek Choice Leather earpads. Much like our Elite earpads, the Choice Leather earpads create a stronger seal around your ears and offer an increase in the low-frequency content. It’s also important to note going forward that even though our Choice Leather and Choice Suede earpads are made up of the same foam material, there is an apparent difference in the seal when comparing the two graphs.

Lastly, we have our vegan alternative Choice Suede earpads. As we mentioned before, the Choice Suede is an interesting graph as it doesn’t show much of an increase in the low-frequency content and closely resembles the stuck earpads sound signature. This might be due to how these pads seal around the ear. This will potentially keep the bass content from becoming overbearing to the overall sound. These pads could be a great option if you’re looking to further the comfort of your K371 earpads while maintaining a similar sound signature to the stock headphones. Our Choice Series is vegan.
