The Material used in this ear pads is the new Dekoni Choice Leather.  While not leather, the material is a very soft and durable synthetic that can considered a Vegan option for those that do not like to use leather products.

Got these to replace my pads on my Sony MDR-1000Xs and they fit! I went with the leather to have minimal change to the sound characteristics of my Sonys and my conclusion is that it worked. These pads are much thicker than stock so they create more space for your ears which enhanced the sound stage a bit, but it also took away a very tiny amount of the bass impact/punch. These pads are crazy comfortable make wearing my headphone for work all day much better.

    PROs
    + Sound stage
    + Comfort
    + Quality

    CONs
    – Bass impact/punch (very small change)

I bought these to replace my worn pads from my Sony MDR-1000X headphones. I can confirm that they work on that model. These pads are super comfortable and well made. They add just bit more to the sound stage while just slightly reducing the bass impact (might be a good thing for some).

    Pros
    + Comfort
    + Sound stage

    Cons
    – Bass impact

Overall they are great and I am glad they worked on my MDR-1000X
